How do I create a web page?
The easiest way is to use an editor like MS Frontpage. If you have Windows98 or Internet Explorer 5 you already have a Frontpage editor on your computer.
What is the name of the default document?
When you request a page like http://home.itec.co.za/ the server looks for a page called default.asp, default.htm or index.html and displays whatever page is found first.
How do I publish my web pages.
Use an FTP program to copy your web pages from your computer to the web server. Use your login and password to connect to home.itec.co.za. Once you are connected copy the web pages to the server. A great FTP program can be found here.
How do I get my own domain name?
Itec Internet Services can register any available domain name for you. Domain registrations cost as little as R249-00 to register. Once you have registered your domain we can create email addresses addressed to your domain and set up a web site for you.
